Stainless steel bento boxes can't hold pickles but this one can!
Bought a pair and have no regrets! My only question is if a metal spoon will cause damage to the titanium after constant scraping.

Pair of Mess Tins

My first purchase just came in. I choose two pairs of mess tins, where the main selling point for me has been the really snug fitting lids, which was mentioned in multiple reviews. 3 out of 4 tins have very snug fitting lids, perfect for my envisioned use case. One of the large tins was covered in finger prints and had several spots on the handles. Not a big deal, but the 3 others did not. What was disappointing is, that the lid of the large tinn was very loose, and not snugly fitting like the rest.

Super-practical multifunctional container

Extremely lightweight, durable and practical containers for various food items: coffee and tea, sweeteners, spices, soup, spoons, snacks etc. Can also be used as plates or boiling pots, although I use these for keeping my food stuff in order. Yes they are a bit pricey but should last a lifetime.

Perfrect Mess Kit

Lightweight (actually ultralight), perfect shape (for packing), and (attached) handles for cooking. I could not think of a better combination for a mess kit. I wish that could make a suggestion for improvement or refinement, but I cannot. This kit is perfect for backpacking, an emergency or part of a go bag. Combined with a canteen (or water bottle), and silverware one is all set with a minimalist cooking and eating set. Highly recommended!

Both tins are good and handy sizes. So far only have used them over a gas flame. Have been easy to clean, even the burnt spot from the gas flame. Lids fit well, all good.

Better than Trangia!

I have purchased both mess tins and I couldn't ve happier. The dimensions and quality are spot on. The handle is strong enough (unlike on Trangia mess tins) and the lid fits snuggly. Additionally, they are made of titanium, so I have no worries cooking in them, even with metal utensils. Very happy overall.

HUGE benefit of Titanium for survival and routine use...

For using this as a survival kit, one can just burn off the residue from the tape you used to seal it until needed use. And for routine use: after cooking, one can just toss Ti directly into a campfire and get it food scent free with no labor/water/cold hands...So the set makes sense-one for routine use, one for a super survival kit. Nice lid-a simpler one that is simply "flat" is slightly convex due to manufacturing, and steam condenses on the lid, then runs down the sides, and then runs down the sides of the pot and into your precious fire. Not a dealbreaker, but that is wasteful of water, not at all good with a barely there fire in a survival situation. So this more structured lid is a nice advantage.

How long is the product warranty?

All products are covered by a lifetime warranty, apart from our tent stakes. We base each warranty case individually, depending on the reason for damage and the cause. Additional costs may be incurred for shipping and repairs should the damage not be caused by issues with the product's integrity.

What is your return policy?

If you are unsatisfied with your product order please contact us immediately at info@silverantoutdoors.com. We offer a 30-day return policy for all products from the date of delivery, providing proof of receipt. For damage or to repair based on the lifetime warranty, please contact us to organise sending the product back to us for repair or replacement.

Is the titanium coated?

No, we do not coat our titanium products. We believe in maintaining the integrity of the titanium, ensuring a lifetime of use and protecting the antibacterial, non-allergenic and non-toxic properties. Sandblasting is powered by compressed air to form a high-speed jet beam to spray the titanium surface, producing the classic matte finish. Crystallization is a process where the titanium product is put in a vacuum oven at high temperatures and pressure for 10+ hours to produce the finish.

What is the best protocol for cleaning the my titanium gear?

We highly recommend never using a dishwasher and only washing with water by hand. Please don’t use an abrasive cloth as this will damage and scratch the titanium and reduce its longevity. Use a fabric cloth with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and dry. Then store in your rucksack or cupboard ready for the next adventure.
