motivated to get a dedicated tea service for trekking once I left coffee behind and began trying pu-erh teas; these teas are best with multiple steepings including an initial 3-second 'rinse' with boiling water. At home, one might use several ceramic vessels with strainers for such an operation, Silverant's pour over allows a quick steep, removal of the basket, and the ability to go straight to brewing without pause. The basket also holds the leaves conveniently for repeated steepings, in which good green tea reveals more nuanced flavors. I was surprised that the double-wall vessel was heavier than expected, and that the basket was lighter and more delicate than expected ... neither a problem, just noticed. I love the design of the whole thing, very compact and packable, while still being kind of perfect for tea preparation and serving.
I love everything about this mug. It is so well made, fits in the hand perfectly, and never gets hot enough on the exterior to feel uncomfortable. I like the handle specifically because it does not fold, and while some may find that slightly less packable, I prefer having no rattling noises that occur with the folding variety. Makes a perfect cup of tea with simple clean-up too. I will be first in line to purchase another if SilverAnt makes another in the 400-450 ml range.
It is ideal for staying hydrated, thanks to its size, not only for Hiking but also for everyday office or uni life.
During a 3 month solo backpacking adventure I used this mug to make myself a quick granola breakfast every morning before biking. It is light, solid build quality, and easily attached to a backpack.
I used this kit daily during a 3-month long solo bike trip. It is light and durable and the ideal size for one person.
Very small, beautiful, light - perfect for adventures! The teapot has own mesh in the nose) and I didn't expect to get also special towel) thanks a lot for this beautiful production!
The only thing I worry - it is touch and water stains. They created very easily, but for me it is not real problem!
Everything was as promised, and service was fantastic.
I bought a 1500ml kettle so my family can make ramen. I used it with gas and the handle didn't get hot. So I was able to use it without needing to wear gloves. The lid doesn't fall off when pouring hot water and it's comfortable to use.
They are light weight and convenient for me put it in the small bag with me. Recommend it.
For a number of years I have owned an original Swiss army issued aluminium bottle and also the Sigg stainless steel version of this same shaped bottle that this titanium bottle is a based on. The army version just has a cork while the stainless version has the standard Sigg fine threaded cap. This cap is a bit of a pain to screw back onto the bottle as you need to ensure you aren't cross threading it. No problem with the thread on the titanium bottle.
The only thing I don't like is you can't fit the cup to the bottle if you are using the plastic cap.
Really good quality spork. I was unsure whether to get this or the spoon but this handled a bowl of soup well and is a good length for stirring while avoiding heat from the stove. Glad I bought it!
I was after a good combi set that had a small pan and long pot and after watching gaziano outdoors review of this set on YouTube which was very positive it helped me to decide to buy it. It's excellent quality and I've used them all. The pans perfect for burgers etc and the small pot excellent for soups and water, with the tall one able to reheat mylar bags and make 2 coffees. Very happy with the purchase
So I’ve used this for a a month now. Out and about camping boiling water at a wood stove and isoprop burner. Gotta say I’m very impressed with the quality. Handles gets hot of course but that’s titanium. Did I say it’s ridiculous light?
And it looks stunning. Very happy with the kettle..
This flask is perfect really, will last me forever and I'll be glad to have it. Was a little teeth-on-edge in the initial moments, remembering that titanium threads are not smooth or quiet! I have a liter sized bottle/pot from another company that has been relegated to emergency kit because the lid is so scratchy-noisy-catchy, but this flask, however, has quickly become easy to open and close without catching or being too scratchy; either it has smoothed down (unlikely in the time I've had it), or it has become easier to line up and screw on quietly and smoothly. It's practical, feels durable, and I can't see any point of failure (points for an easily replaced silicone gasket, so when that needs replacing in 10 years, it'll be easy)
