Hi, we are Peyman and Sailor from Finland. I am a professional wilderness guide from Finland who has cycled 55,000 km around the globe and has completed many different adventures.
Sailor is also from Finland, has worked as a personal trainer, and graduated from the Finnish Defence University. She has also worked in different security fields for the last 9 years. When she is off from work she is on a mission to complete her next adventure project.
For years we have struggled to find good water bottles. I had to throw away 6 different plastic (food-safe) water bottles while cycling in Africa because the plastic started to smell horrible after prolonged use in the elements. This ended when we came across these 1.5-liter water bottles from SilverAnt.
We have daily used these titanium water bottles for the last 3 years. They are well made, work in all environments regardless of the conditions, and their quality is top-notch.
But you must be asking why these titanium bottles?
Here are our core reasons:
1. Titanium bottles will literally last forever. They do not get rusty and you need to smash with a hammer to break them.
2. Titanium is lighter compared to stainless steel.
3. These are easy to clean. Because of the high melting temperature of titanium, you can throw these into the fire and the heat will clean them, or simply boil water inside. You can't do this with plastic and you can't throw the steel bottle on fire the same as titanium.
4. You don't drink any microplastics with these bottles.
5. Works as a pot! Basically, you can use it for boiling water, tea, and coffee. You save weight and space by carrying one pot.
6. I don't know anywhere else you can get this capacity titanium bottle. I have asked SilverAnt for a 2-liter version and fingers crossed 2025 is the year!
As someone whose outdoor life is not their hobby but their lifestyle, we need to have equipment that can handle daily use for years and harsh conditions. So because of all these reasons we are using these titanium bottles and titanium gear on our current 5 Athlon expedition from NordKapp in Norway to South Africa.
The Nomads Trails 5 Athlon expedition is a mixture of Skiing, Running, Swimming, Cycling, and Sailing all the way from Nord Kapp in Norway to South Africa starting from the middle of Jan 2025.
The next item we use is the 750ml titanium cup with bail. This is our favorite cup! It has a bail handle (easy to hand or pick up from a fire), you can boil water in it, make coffee, drink from it, and make your porridge in it too.
It's an incredibly useful titanium cup that we have also used for years. BTW the large water bottles fit in this cup pretty well ;)
The collaborative logo you see on the bottle and cup is our logo from this challenge.
We need to mention this is the first time in history such a challenge is being attempted and this titanium gear with these logos will only be available till the end of the 5 Athlon challenges.

No, we do not coat our titanium products. We believe in maintaining the integrity of the titanium, ensuring a lifetime of use and protecting the antibacterial, non-allergenic and non-toxic properties. Sandblasting is powered by compressed air to form a high-speed jet beam to spray the titanium surface, producing the classic matte finish. Crystallization is a process where the titanium product is put in a vacuum oven at high temperatures and pressure for 10+ hours to produce the finish.
We highly recommend never using a dishwasher and only washing with water by hand. Please don’t use an abrasive cloth as this will damage and scratch the titanium and reduce its longevity. Use a fabric cloth with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and dry. Then store in your rucksack or cupboard ready for the next adventure.
